Slender Man

You have been feeling a bit paranoid lately. You keep getting that creepy feeling like someone's watching you. Everywhere you go, you keep catching glimpses of... something. At first you just thought it was a man in a suit, albeit a tall man, but that was it, nothing more. Businessmen in suits aren't so uncommon to see in a city, right?

But then it got weirder. The feeling you were being watched turned into an obsession. You constantly find yourself looking over your shoulder. You wake up in the night constantly to look out your window to make sure your yard is empty. You've even had floodlights installed around your house so you can make sure nothing can hide from you in the night.

And yet you just can't shake this damn creeping feeling...

The sightings of this man in a suit became more and more frequent over the past weeks, to the point that you now carry a camera everywhere so you can finally capture the bastard, to prove he's real and you're not just seeing things. It becomes apparent by the first few photos that this isn't just coincidental sightings of multiple different men in suits on their way to work. This is definitely the same guy. He's bald, freakishly tall, and hasn't a single feature on his face; but that's not possible... it's got to be a trick of the camera or something.

Every time you see him, he's barely noticeable, off in the distance somewhere... watching you. While looking through all of your photos, you notice something: he's getting closer every time.

Finally, you've had enough. You see him out your window at work, starring up from the street at your office window. You don't even bother to take a picture. You're done. You're fed up with this. You grab everything from your desk and leave work early, striding briskly from your building and to your car without looking back. The parking ram is empty, save the silhouetted figure of a tall, slender person at the end of the rows of cars. You get in your car hurriedly and try to get it started...

The battery has failed.

You exit the car and practically sprint to the elevator. You need to get to the bottom floor and get on the street where people can see you. Getting home is your top priority, and walking is your only option.

The elevator goes a floor too far, to some sort of basement level. There is only one light on, but you cant see a single thing. A ghostly figure darts past the light, making no noise at all. You take out your camera and point it into the inky void. The sound of the shutter resounds through the blackness like a thunderclap and the flash illuminates the corridor like the lighting to go with as you snap a picture. For a moment, you saw something, like a wraith in the light of the flash.

You hit play and gaze in horror at your last photo.

"Oh God... He's here..."
